At last, after non-stop rumors about their real score, Kapamilya actor Jerome Ponce finally admitted to having a relationship with La Salle athlete Mika Reyes. The two have been reportedly dating since last year and people have seen the connection blossom into something serious.
And yes, they can't hide it anymore.
On the celebrity premiere of Kung Fu Yoga last January 31, the 21-year-old actor exclusively shared their official status with entertainment website Push.
“Well, proud ako na maging boyfriend niya,” said Jerome at the Star Cinema red carpet in Glorietta mall, Makati city.
Ponce also shared that he and Mika have already gone through ups and downs even at this early point of their relationship.
"Malaki ang in-adjust niya at sabi ko rin malaki-laki rin ang in-adjust ko sa pagkatao. So 'yun 'yung pinakagusto ko at pati 'yung mga pinagdaanan namin sa buhay. Away bati, sa families may mga kumokontra. So 'yun 'yung masasabi kong pinaka (napagdaanan) namin,” he said.
When asked what made the female athlete special from other girls, Ponce gave a very simple yet sweet response.
"Hindi ko na in-expect na may taong kayang maging ganun para sa akin. Kumbaga kaya niya mag-stay despite of all the wrong [sic] sa akin,” he said.
Fans already saw this coming ever since Ponce was spotted watching some of Mika’s games last year. The two were also spotted going out and travelling together over the past several months on their Instagram accounts.
