On February 19, 2017, well-known talent manager and Kapamilya actor Ogie Diaz came out with his own take on Mocha Uson's complaints regarding two ABS-CBN shows.
Ogie's reaction was triggered by Mocha Uson's video blog update from last Friday where the former sexy actress called out ABS-CBN for allegedly abusing the SPG rating for two of their shows. Mocha talked about a few scenes from two Kapamilya shows which she deems to be inappropriate for television but was apparently given air time last week. Mocha was referring to the pilot episode of the afternoon tv drama, 'The Better Half', and an episode of 'Ipaglaban Mo'.
Mocha stated that her followers brought up complaints about the two shows due to its alleged sexual content. 'The Better Half' apparently showed some prolonged bed scenes on its pilot episode which raised the eyebrows of many viewers. On the other hand, the reality-based crime drama, 'Ipaglaban Mo' showed what viewers believe to be rape scenes that were a little too graphic for daytime television.
In her video blog update from Friday, Mocha aired her concerns regarding the two shows. She also accused ABS-CBN of abusing MTRCB's SPG rating after finding out that the controversial episode of 'Ipaglaban Mo' was not subjected to a review before being aired on TV.
"Yung Strong Parental Guidance, ginagamit ito para makalusot yung mga malalaswang eksena," said the recently appointed MTRCB board member and former sex columnist.
A few days after Mocha's video blog update was posted, Ogie Diaz came out with his comments and complaints about the former sexy star's statements against his home tv network.
According to pep.ph, Ogie found out that Mocha airs her complaints to the public before bringing them up as a formal complaint to the new MTRCB chairman. Ogie pointed out that Mocha was a little too hasty in putting out her concerns on social media. Ogie said that Mocha's job as an MTRCB board member was to raise her concerns with the board and chairman first.
Ogie had the following to say to Mocha Uson:
