The affection expressed by dogs to their “parents” can often be a struggle to define, as their loyalty is almost unparalleled by any other domesticated animal. 

A sad truth faced by many of these furry buddies is that taking good care of them can lead to a hefty bill, and some people are just not up for that heavy responsibility.

A Chinese man was a witness to this fleecy situation, as his golden retriever from a shelter showed signs of emotional wreckage.

After bringing him home, the Chinese man noticed that the dog would act strangely at night time and would watch his new owner go to sleep every night, which sort of spooked out the man. The owner attempted to put his furry buddy to sleep first, but he just wouldn’t, and would still watch him go to sleep. Confused, he brought his canine back to the shelter to ask what was going on with him, and what he heard broke the owner’s heart. 

It turns out, the poor dog was deep in his slumber when his previous owner took him and brought him to the shelter. When the dog woke up, he realized he was in an unfamiliar place, inside a cage, and his master nowhere to be found.

According to the shelter staff, the previous owner could no longer afford to feed him, so he decided that bringing him to the shelter would be the best option for both of them. The dog was probably heartbroken and didn’t want to experience the same thing over again.
