For a growing number of Filipinos, the search for employment can sometimes be a almost too difficult. It takes a lot of patience to get hired nowadays, compared to, say 2-3 decades ago. This is why some people are forced to take whatever opportunity comes their way. This line of thinking stems from the idea of "sayang" or "pwede na"; a concept that involves taking anything (a job, for instance) that comes along even if it's not exactly what you wanted in the first place.

But the problem is that other people have also learned to prey on those who think in this manner. Some people just get a kick out of taking advantage of others.

Take one man for example, who shared his story about what he experienced while looking for a job. The story was posted on Facebook, which was later picked up by a popular local trending news site. According to sources, it was originally posted by a Facebook user named Ralph Racoma on Saturday, February 18, 2017. The Facebook user wanted other people to know what he had to go through while looking for a job. To present his story, he used screenshots of a conversation he had with a friend who almost tricked him into thinking that he could get him a job in respectable way.
