Netizens have been warned about this photo of a woman circulating social media on February 1, 2017.
The Tambayan ni Berto Worldwide Facebook page shared a photo of a messy-looking woman who allegedly kidnapped children while riding in a white van. Reportedly she was not alone while perpetrating this crime and that her two other accomplices escaped the authorities.
The post serves as a warning for parents to remain vigilant. The photo is attributed to netizen Andy Castorillo.
No other details have surfaced concerning this alleged kidnapping.
This incident is very similar to the Facebook story shared by netizen Hannah Mae Joves Taronga. In her Facebook post, she claims that two women were kidnapped at Antipolo Shopwise, by two well-dressed men in a van. There are no supporting details to this story, and it is unclear if Taronga witnessed these events personally.
Another similar story that also went viral was shared by netizen Shania Marie Gonzales, who claims she was abducted by men riding a black van around the Antipolo area. In a similar manner, this cautionary tale has no other supporting details. Other netizens have even noted the conspicuous lack of trauma associated with this kidnapping story.
While not ruling out the possibly that these kidnapping stories might all be a hoax, it’s always advisable for parents to know where their children are at all times. It’s always good to stay alert while out in the streets and to avoid
