Exclusive - Dra. Belo Denies She Blames Pres. Duterte For The Sick Zebras And Giraffes In Palawan!

Amidst the controversy, Dra. Vicki Belo faced the issue and clarified that she had no intention of bashing President Rodrigo Duterte for the sick zebras and giraffes who are abandoned in a wildlife park in Palawan.

Belo posted an Instagram photo with a lengthy caption seemingly enraged by the situation she witnessed. It caught the attention of many Filipino netizens.

It read, “Can you believe that this is in the #philippines? These animals were donated to us during Marcos regime and have lovingly cared for until P-Noy administration. Unfortunately, since the Duterte administration came in, they have been forgotten and have not received any feeds for a month now. Please help save these beautiful #zebras and #giraffes”

On a previous interview, the doctor reiterated that her post wasn't meant for the President nor his administration.

“I want to make it clear that I am not bashing President Duterte. As the leader of our country, he has my support. I’m aware that he has to worry about so many more important things that I’m sure he’s not even aware of this situation,” she said.

Belo deleted the said post but again said that its sole purpose was to catch the attention of the  Calauit Sanctuary Park's management.
