Such is this heartwarming story published by When In Manila. A foreigner just brought a smile to the lips of a young sampaguita vendor when he bought him a new pair of shoes and some clothes. This incredible story was witnessed by a netizen named Mara Karmela who immediately went to her Facebook account to share the good vibes.
According to Mara, she was roaming around the department store of a certain mall when she noticed that its staff was busy taking picture of a foreigner who was with the sampaguita boy. She overheard their conversations and found out that the foreigner saw the little boy outside the mall. He was selling his sampaguita barefooted and wearing torn clothes.
The compassionate foreigner then decided to buy him new shoes so he would not need to go barefoot while offering his sampaguita flowers to the people. Mara also heard that the foreigner asked the mall staff to direct him to the clothes department for the boy. In exchange for this little act of kindness, the boy then gave all his sampaguita garlands to the unnamed foreigner.
