College is especially colorful in one’s memory because it is the time where we were old enough to do what we want and yet, young enough to still have minimal responsibilities (for most of us anyway).
It’s the time wherein we become hormonal and as a result, are more intensely attuned to our own feelings. This makes us bolder in wanting to pursue risky things to the point that we tend to put our own hearts in the line.
Case in point: Vice Ganda and his own college crush. The comedian studied in Far Eastern University and just like all college students, had his own set of college crushes as well.
Enter Ruben Manahan. According to the video that was uploaded by ABS-CBN Entertainment, Manahan was an actor in ‘That’s Entertainment,’ a youth-oriented talent and variety show in GMA Network.
He gave Vice the shock of his life when he appeared in the March 26 episode of the comedian’s own show, ‘Gandang Gabi Vice.’
Piolo Pascual was also there to give out questions to the comedian. According to him, “Alam ko n’ong college ka, meron kang crush daw eh.” He paused and Vice looked at him questioningly.
“Pero hindi mo siya maligawan kasi magka-barkada kayo,” Piolo continued with a knowing smirk.
“So ano kaya sa tingin mo after, ilang many.. years? Ano kaya sa tingin mo ha? Kasi nagiging busy siya sa trabaho at that time, na crush na crush mo raw siya sa FEU.”
Vice gave out a huge smile when he saw his college crush emerged from the backstage. “Oh, my God!” he exclaimed. “Artista siya dati! Artista siya dati sa ‘That’s Entertainment!’ Siya ‘yung love team ni Isabel Granada!”
He turned towads Manahan and said, “Ang guwapo mo pa din! Oo… kasi crush ko dati kaya lang, asa isang grupo kami.”
