Pregnant women are considered frail. Typically, a woman carrying a baby in her womb is treated like a delicate flower. However, one woman broke stereotypes when she continued her normal fitness routines despite being pregnant.
31-year-old Emily Breeze Ross from North Carolina continued lifting "extremely heavy weights" while she was eight months pregnant. Emily is a fitness instructor who refused to allow her pregnancy to get in the way of her workout.
She continued lifting over 150lbs all the way near her due date. She continued her grueling fitness routines for 8 months, exercising six days a week.
Unfortunately, Emily received backlash from netizens after videos and photos of her made rounds on social media.
Many slammed the strong mom for weightlifting, pointing out the odds that she might have a miscarriage if she wasn't careful.
Two weeks past her due date last May of 2016, doctors decided to induce labor. Fortunately, she successfully gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Bly Rhunar Watson.

"I knew from day one that I was going to continue to do what I felt passionate about and done all my life so long as my pregnancy would allow. It wasn't for Insta fame or vain reasons, but because I believe wholeheartedly in health and wellness," she explained. "I am amazed by a woman's body and equally thankful that I've been able to stay active and do what I love all the way through til the end." Emily said.
