Exclusive - 24-Year-Old Ilocano Farmer Now An International Indie Film Actor

“You can be anything you set your mind into if you just believe it”

This is how writer Kali Alaiah described 24-year-old Ilocano native JC Tan Bites after he made his way in the entertainment industry from being a former farmer in Abra.

According to Kali, JC was a hard working farmer in Abra and a dedicated dishwasher in Manila before he was given his major break in acting and commercial modelling. JC was equipped with his remarkable physical appearance, perseverance, dedication and hard work. These made his dream of becoming an actor possible. JC did not just enter the local scene of acting but he is now known internationally for his dedication to his craft.

Kali is a Digital Marketing Strategist who met JC in an international music video project headed by Lourdes Duque Baron, a Grammy nominee and L.A Music Awards Winner together with multi-awarded director Willian Rivera.

Before JC made it to the international acting industry, JC was part of “Dahon”, a production made possible by Phil Hero Foundation. He was also part of a film commercial by SMART Telecommunications in 2016 called “Break Down Barriers”. After his commercial stints, JC was then offered roles as an indie film actor. He started his acting career in “Hangyo”, a film by Willian Rivera and “Kabute”, a production of Timeless Entertainment Inc. and Clips Films Production. JC’s indie films were shown in theaters worldwide including Los Angeles and New York movie house in USA. JC is also reported to take part in Brillante Mendoza’s TV show, “Amo”.
