Netizens are busy arguing whether pineapples really go on a pizza or not. This battle has become so intense that it even reached the Congress and grabbed the attention of many lawmakers. People who love pineapple to go on a pizza should fear as WhenInManila claimed that a Congressman wants to file a bill that aims to put a special tax on Hawaiian pizza.
According to WhenInManila, the bill would be called “Pinoy Anti-Pineapple on Pizza Act.” This may sound hilarious, but just read on.
“Pineapples on pizza just don’t make sense. Taxing it can increase cash flow for more important projects, such as building new infrastructures and supporting the war on drugs,” the unnamed congressman told WhenInManila.
WhenInManila also claimed that bill would allow a committee called ‘Pinya Patrol’ to ensure that the bill would be enforced.
The unnamed solon, however, did not seem to mind that his bill would definitely face harsh opposition. Of course, this would come from people who are in love with pineapples going on a pizza.
“Minority who enjoy it should pay more to contribute to the greater good,” the Congressman said.
WhenInManila also claimed that the Congressman is expecting the bill to be approved as soon as possible. Whoever this congressman is, he really hates pineapple going on a pizza.
Fortunately, this is an April Fools treat from WhenInManila. Thanks to this popular media site for this prank!
