When people typically reach the age of retirement, they are expected to stay at home and rest their tired bones. They are usually expected to live the remaining years of their lives in relative comfort.
However, this is not the case for this ailing grandmother who still has to take care of her disabled grandchild.
Facebook user Jan Leden Degay used her social media account to ask the public for their help for a 97-year-old woman she met along the lonely roads of Brgy. Amococcan, Paitan, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.
Degay stated that the 97-year-old grandmother's grandchild is suffering from epilepsy. What made them struggle more is fact that the elderly woman is also suffering from ailments brought by old age.
She is unable to hear and speak properly. Her house is made of patches of wood with an old rusted roof. The place they are living in is not safe for the both of them and they need immediate medical attention.
Degay is pleading with the public to lend the two a helping hand as their condition worsens everyday.
