Exclusive - LOOK: James Yap’s Millions-Worth Classic Hotel-Like Condo Unit In BGC Will Definitely Leave You Speechless!

Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) reported that when Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) player James Yap and the Queen of All Media Kris Aquino got separated in 2010, James had a hard time deciding where to stay as he left Kris’ house.

In an interview, James claimed that he had no relatives or any family members in Manila. So when he left their house, he decided to stay in a hotel. However after some time, he realized that living in a hotel is incredibly expensive. And so after this, he decided to look for a place where he could stay for good.

In 2012, Yes! Magazine shared what James’ condo-unit in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig looks like. This posh condo unit became his home for a while. Currently, his Italian partner Michelle Cazzola and their eight-month old son Michael James are living with him. He initially planned to live in the same building in Makati where his former wife, Kris and sons Bimby and James were living but then decided to stay in Taguig. He also revealed that he purchased a condo unit instead of a townhouse for security purposes.

According to Yes!, his hotel-like condo unit has a modern contemporary classic vibe with its two bedrooms and three bathrooms. Because he planned the interior design when he was still solo-living, the entirety of the unit shows minimalist and masculine details. He also preferred to be relaxed in the house through its gray, black and white color palette. His choice of colors adds some classy and sophisticated air inside the room.  

James’ interior design team lead by Kim Policarpio decided on an elegant dining area by using 6 black velvet chairs instead of leather. All chairs were all customized for James and his colleagues who are big guys because of the nature of their profession.

It may seem that guys like James do not have a heart in cooking. Actually, although he does not know how to cook other dishes than adobo, his kitchen is undeniably incredible. Aside from this, the kitchen is also fully-equipped with everything one would need when cooking.

James has been one of the most prominent PBA players in the industry. He won several prestigious titles in PBA including the Most Valuable Player awards. His achievements in his profession really made up most of his career. Because of this, he decided to devote a corner in his condo unit where all his medals and trophies were arranged.

According to PEP, “his favorite room was the entertainment-cum-guest room, which had a flat-screen TV and DVD player, a surround sound system, and a SkyCable DigiBox iRecord personal video recorder”. Kim told Yes! that they purchased the personal video recorder so that James’ games would be digitally recorded. After his live games in Araneta, he would play it back to watch again.

James’ interior designer made sure that he would feel cozy and comfy in his own room. They put a California-king sized bed in the middle of it. His master bathroom and walk-in closet can also be found inside. They used tempered glass doors as partitions.

In one of the walls of the condo unit’s entrance hall,a huge artwork can also be found. Kim Policarpio shared that James personally chose the piece as the birds in the upper right resembles Bimby and Joshua while the other two birds in the middle are him and the girl he would like to spend the rest of his life with.
