“In sickness and in health.” This is one of the vows that couples promise each other on their weddings. In a photo shared by Mackenna Newman, many hearts got broken. She uploaded a photograph of her dad sitting by the door of her mom’s bedroom.

Marci, Mackenna’s mom, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer last October. She needed to receive radiation treatment by herself that is why she had to be isolated in her bedroom sometimes. One day, the 17- year old girl decided to take a photo of her father who was dedicatedly sitting by the door in case her mom might need something.

“My mom has to stay in her room in isolation for her cancer radiation so my dad set up a desk at her door to keep her company and I’m crying,” Mackenna said on her tweet. 

“The amount of love I’ve received is crazy and I didn’t expect any of it, but I’m so grateful,” she stated.

Mackenna received praises from various netizens as well as his dad for fulfilling his marriage vows and staying with her mom in sickness. Not all husband would do as what her dad did so despite of having cancer, Marci is still lucky to have a loving daughter and faithful husband.

“Jon goes to every doctor’s appointment, every blood test, every surgery, every radiation. And, as you can see, if he can’t be by my side he is as close as he can get!” Marci said during her interview with BuzzFeed. She was very thankful of her husband’s love for her.

What can you say about Jon’s faithfulness? Surely, you would also want a husband who would stay with you in sickness and in health.
