You won’t believe this man's inspiring success story.
A man applied as a janitor at a company and was hired after passing the exam. The HR manager then called him about the documents he was required to submit. But when he was asked about his E-mail address, he didn't have one.
“What? You don’t have an E-mail? Every employee in this company has one because it is needed for business transactions. You are fired,” the HR manager told him.
The man left the building in sorrow, worrying about his three-year-old child who might have to miss another meal. He was dejected when he realized he only had P300 in his pocket.
Distracting himself from these thoughts, he went to the market and used all of his money to buy tomatoes.
He repacked the tomatoes and sold them for P600, doubling his previous money. It was still too early to go home so he bought another pack of tomatoes worth P600. Once again, he repacked the tomatoes. This time he sold it for P1200.
The man went home with a smile on his face and a business idea in his head.
Years passed by and his child grew older. From a vegetable cart, now he owns a truck for huge deliveries.
Ten years passed and his company is now the biggest vegetable dealer in the country.
One day, he was convinced by an insurance agent to ensure his business. While filling out the form, he was asked by the agent to give his E-mail address. He still doesn’t have an E-mail address which confused the agent. He quipped, ‘If I have an E-mail address, most likely I became a janitor.”
What is the moral of this fictional story?
We are often rejected because of our weaknesses. But focusing on our weaknesses will blind us from seeing our strengths. Remember, weaknesses are not God’s rejection but God’s redirection.
