It has been five years since little Ja-El Flores went missing but unfortunately, there is still no single clue that would give light to what happened to him. His mother, Jona Flores, pleaded to the social media community to find her long-lost precious son. When she posted Ja-El’s story on Facebook, it went immediately viral and has gained a lot of attention from the netizens.
Mrs. Jona reported that the authorities no longer investigate on the case as their family failed to present a proof of life before them. Hopeless as it may seem, it is fortunate that social media is powerful in a way that even the authorities are not. Mrs. Jona’s post sparked concern among the social media users as some of them tried to help her be reunited again with Ja-El. Some of them presented pictures and information that might help Mrs. Jona reach who they think is Ja-El. While some of them only resemble the kid, their hope that Mrs. Jona would soon find him remain to be alive.
Ja-El’s story also reached GMA News’ feature program, ‘Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho’. With the help of the show’s production team, Mrs. Jona personally went to the three children who were reported to be her son. One of them was found in Divisoria, one in Novaliches and one in Laguna. They identify Ja-El as a child whose eyes are round, has birthmark in the left part of his face and has an asthma. The three children resembles as Ja-El but the question still stands. Is one of them finally Ja-El Flores?
