Trending Now - This Rescue Kitten Used To Be Afraid Of Everything, Now It Became A Therapy Cat And Calms Other Animals
Meet Ron, the kitten who has the special power to calm the patients at the vet clinic. The feline was rescued as a stray from the streets of Colorado. When he first got to Northfield Veterinary Hospital he was so scared, the kitty was hiding all the time. However, soon he got accustomed to his temporary home and started interacting with other animals who came into the hospital, as if to let them know it was okay and they needn’t be worried.
“He would approach any other dog and cat without fear, and would try to climb into their cages…,” Shelly Sandel, veterinarian and co-owner of Northfield Veterinary Hospital, told The Dodo.
“He started to cuddle up to any pet who was under anesthesia for dental work (not sterile procedures) and provide them with body heat,” Sandel said. “He would even groom them while they were asleep, seemingly trying to provide them with comfort.”
The kitty spent three months at the clinic, acting as if he was an employee, making rounds to see the patients. However, soon it was time for him to go to a loving forever home.
“He lives with a family who has a young child and an older dog, and needless to say, they all love Ron,” Sandel said.
