Controversial Tweet of Tim Yap About the Binibining Pilipinas Candidates Gets Hilarious Response From Netizens!

This tweet of his drew ire from the netizens following him and watching the beauty pageant. Most of them said that instead of bashing, Tim should just empower the women instead and celebrate their beauty.

Some netizens commented in lieu of Tim’s tweet and expressed their own opinions:

@RegisAndanar: “Oh yung mga taga Pateros take note dapat mukhang Balut kayo next year pati national costume niyo ganun na rin”

@kariannecarino: “yung binibining ilocos mukhang bagnet”

@craaae: “Cebuano binibinis be like danggit, dangit!”

@sunkenhopes: “yun taga pampanga mukhang sisig dapat ah un naka sizzling plate”

@ItsACsLife: “yung mga tiga-kamuning dapat mukhang kapuso”

@JuliaLovesTwig: “At yung candidate from Las Pinas mukhang bamboo organ.”

@gelmrcd: “yung mga tiga davao dapat mukhang durian. :(( ”

@MiriamLines: “So dapat yung mga taga Batangas mukhang Kapeng Barako? Char”

The source cited that since that issue, Tim has deleted his tweet and has issued an apology. He said: “I didn’t mean it that way. I am sorry for whoever I offended with my tweet. I think everyone is beautiful no matter where they’re from.”

It seemed as if the objectification of women continues even during that supposedly “empowering” pageant, huh?
