This multi-disciplinary artist is based in the Philippines and he has just created a gorgeous paper cut-out series to raise awareness of endangered animals from all over the world.

Cabral stacks layers upon layers of intricate paper cut-outs to create sculpture-like 3D portraits of animals from all over the world who share one defining feature – each of them is endangered. The highly complex and abstract facial patterns of these animals serve as a metaphor, reminding about their fragility. The populations of these pangolins, snow leopards and other majestic creatures are frail, just like the cut-out paper that represents them.

Also, to do his part, Cabral sells his work through an online art auction site called Acts of Kindness, and as an act of kindness, he donates 50% of all the earnings to World Wide Fund for Nature in the Philippines.
