Trending Now - Daughter Recreates Mom’s Graduation Photo After 17 Years
When 18-year-old Madeleine Tarin began her senior year of high school, she already knew how she’ll celebrate her graduation. Soon, the big day came and instead of focusing on herself, Madeleine shared the special moment with her family and together they recreated a heartwarming picture from 17 years ago.
“We made it TOGETHER,” Madeleine, a Chino Hills High School graduate, wrote. “My mom was 15 while pregnant with me, she had me at 16. My dad was 17. The original picture is from June, 2000.” It was taken during her mom’s graduation.
She said her parents were judged for having a child so early on in their lives but they stayed together and raised her. “They were determined to make it and provide me with a future. My dad worked full time in construction and my mom was still playing soccer. Today, they have a strong, loving marriage.”
Tarin shared the images on Twitter where they were retweeted more than 76,000 times and liked almost 330,000 times. In a way, she is following her mom’s footsteps and will be attending Rider University in New Jersey on an athletic and academic scholarship to play Division 1 soccer in the fall. ” I couldn’t ask for a more loving, supportive family than the one God gave me.”
