Trending Now - I Illustrate The Daily Struggles Of Being A New Mom In Funny Comics
I started drawing My Tired Mommy illustrations not long after giving birth to my first son. As a fresh, overwhelmed mom on maternity leave, this was my way to express the struggles, frustrations, absurdity and humor that I often found in many of these new situations.
Sharing these with my friends on Facebook, I received amazing responses from many moms who’ve been through similar experiences and related to the sentiment. So I decided to make it into a comic strip and publish it regularly in social media.
I often touch those sensitive (sometimes even taboo) topics such as breastfeeding, career life, relationship with spouse, extended family and their holier than thou views on raising a baby, and of course – lack of sleep and its effect on the mind and body.
I hope you will find my illustrations funny and relatable, maybe even annoying. Just remember – we’re not perfect. We’re mommies!
