Trending Now - Rude Woman Demands To Be Seated Far From Crying Baby Because She’s A Government Employee, Learns How Karma Works
Karma is a fickle lady and sometimes she strikes almost instantly. This is what US government employee Susan Peirez had to learn the hard way when she was put on work leave recently for berating a Delta flight attendant.
The incident was caught on camera by Marissa Rundell, a 19-year-old mother from Rochester New York and the other victim of Peirez’s rant. On a flight from JFK Airport to Hancock Airport, the former program director for the former NY State Council on the Arts began to complain loudly about Rundell’s crying son. “She came to the back and slammed her bags down. She said ‘this is f—– ridiculous. It’s bulls— having to sit in the back of the plane,'” Rundell told the Daily Mail. The young mom asked that Peirez not continue to cuss around her son and was allegedly met with the response, “shut the f— up and shove it.” Rundell then proceeded to film the encounter on her phone.
When a flight attendant, self- identified as Tabitha, tried to get involved, the government worker redirected her anger towards her. “You may not have a job tomorrow,” Peirez snapped at the flight attendant in the footage. Additional staff was then called to escort her off the plane.
After the footage went viral, with close to 2 million views on Facebook, Peirez was put on work leave with an official statement released by the Director of Public Information Ronni Reich, “State employees are and must be held to the highest standard both professionally and personally. We were notified of this situation and have commenced an investigation. This employee has been removed from the office and placed on leave until further notice and until the inquiry is resolved.”
As for Rundell, she told CBS News she doesn’t regret her decision to share the video, but that she does regret that it has affected Peirez’s job.
