Exclusive - Duterte Hits CHR While Congratulating Kylie Verzosa: 'Lahat Kayo Sa Human Rights Commission, Pangit'

Kylie Verzosa, the newly-crowned Miss International was congratulated by President Rodrigo Duterte.  He also took the opportunity to tease his critics at The Commission on Human Rights (CHR).

Thursday night, after arriving from Japan, the President had a chance to be introduced to Kylie earlier this week as the pageant will be at Tokyo.

“I am always happy if our beautiful women win all the titles. Kasi Filipino tayo eh. It gives us konting hambog, it lifts... parang mayabang tayo na 'O, kita mo, magaganda ang mga aming Pilipinas,'" President Duerte said. Verzosa received the crown a few moments after Duterte’s plane took off.

Then, he couldn’t help saying, "Pero lahat kayo diyan sa human rights commission mga pangit."

CHR has been eyeing Duterte ever since he was still mayor of Davao City. The CHR has also rebuked the President repeatedly because of his war against drugs.

At the same time, President Duterte said that he wished to see Verzosa again to personally congratulate her.
