With the long, spooky weekend being a few days away, we’ve counted down 9 haunted places in the Philippines that will surely creep you out.

1.) Balete Drive – this street in Quezon City is said to have a frequent visitor in the form of a white lady.

2.) Ozone Disco – a former disco hangout popular among university students until a huge fire trapped partygoers inside and burned them all alive.

3.) Manila Film Center - on November 12, 1981, concrete debris fell down and trapped hundreds of construction workers leaving them dead. It is said that they had to cover the bottom part with cement because the recovery of bodies would have delayed the building’s construction. Stories say that you can still hear them screaming and crying from underneath.

4.) Bahay na Pula – an ancestral house where Japanese occupiers held some women hostage who eventually died. Also a place where soldiers were tortured.

5.) Balay Negrense - this place has rooms, each fitted with a mirror. Some say people blessed with a third eye can see creepy things in those mirrors.

6.) Clark Air Base Hospital - featured in so many television shows as a ghost hunter’s paradise, even the cameramen cannot explain the eerie feeling they have when they shoot here.

7.) Diplomat Hotel – a place of supernatural activities believed to be infested with ghosts.

8.) Laperal House – it is believed that anyone who enters this house hears voices and sees spirits roaming around.

9.) Teacher’s Camp – still used for seminars and workshops, many teachers claim that they hear footsteps and singing along the corridors.
