Exclusive - Wala namang Maganda sa Isabela, 'Duterte Jokes While Visiting Typhoon Victims'

Recently,n Nothern Luzon experienced the strongest typhoon this year so far, Lawin. The supertyphoon is compared to Yolanda which was hailed as the strongest typhoon to ever hit the world. Signal No. 5 were raised in the provinces of Isabela, Cagayan, Apayao, Kalinga and Ifugao. The local governments made all the necessary preparations and evacuations to ensure the safety of the residents amid the strong typhoon. Despite this, 5 provinces including Isabela, were badly hit, together with Cagayan and Kalinga.

President Rodrigo Duterte visited Isabela to check on the current state of the province as well as the victims. He then ordered for the revenue of Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) be used in subsidizing for the medical needs of the poor.

"Kung talagang pupunta ng ospital tapos sabihin ito ang reseta, wala kang pera, you just prove to me. Huwag lang niyo akong magsinungaling sa akin, anything, sa police, sa military. Huwag ninyo akong bolahin, sabihin lang ninyo kung ano ang totoo," he said.

But the President wasn't able to hold himself in quipping when someone told him that Isabela is home to many beautiful women. "Ngayon, sa magaganda -- magpakatotoo ka sa pag-ibig... Saan na yun, 'Punta ka ng Isabela, pakilala kita doon, maraming magaganda. Nakita ko roon, wala naman," he said, drawing laughs from the crowd.

Meanwhile, he and other cabinet members led the distribution of the relief goods to the affected families.
