A CCTV footage in Sta. Mesa, Manila showed a mother alongside her daughter beat up a riding-in-tandem snatcher that lead to the arrest of the suspect.
In the video, the riding-in-tandem took the nurse’s phone away. However, what the snatchers did not know is that the mother of the victim is just a few steps away from them.
The mother of the victim blocked the way of the suspects. The motorcycle slammed the mother that made them all fall.
The suspect ran away leaving their motorcycle behind but the mother and her daughter still went after them.
Other residents assisted them in capturing the suspects and beat them up.
Barangay authorities came and arrested the suspect. However, only one of the suspect got arrested and the other one escaped. One of the snatcher was identified as Michael Amagna, 29-years-old. He is detained at MPD Station 8.
The victim’s mother who got hit by the motorcycle is now in good condition.
