Exclusive - Pres. Duterte Warns That Human Rights Activists Will Be Killed If The Drug Problem Worsens!

In a speech in Malacañang Palace on Monday, President Rodrigo Duterte unleashed a warning for human rights activists if the country’s problem with illegal drugs continues to proliferate.

President Duterte’s controversial and bloody “war against drugs” has been receiving numerous criticisms from different organizations that value and seek to protect human rights.

Duterte’s drug war has already claimed the lives of 5,000 people who are allegedly involved in illegal drugs. Adding to the potential list of victims, the President has issued death threats against human rights activists if the drug problem worsens.

“The human rights (defenders) said I ordered the killings. I told them ‘OK. Let’s stop. We’ll let them (drug users) multiply so that when it’s harvest time, more people will die.” the President said.

“I will include you because you are the reason why their numbers swell,” he threatened.

President Duterte has been boldly vocal in giving out numerous death threats to people involved in drugs but has been ironically consistent in denying extrajudicial killings. Contradictions like this seem to be a common theme for his administration.

The United States and the European Union were also active in raising their concerns over the summary executions of alleged drug personalities.
