Exclusive - Many Blessings To Come: Sen. Manny Pacquiao Gives Back To Saranggani Residents On His Birthday!

As the saying goes, “It is better to give than to receive.”
A clichéd motto but still relevant today, most especially to 8 time division champion and current Senator Manny Pacquiao. A day before his birthday, he went back to Saranggani to give away bags of goods to his ‘kababayans’.
It has been a tradition for Senator Pacquiao to always give back whenever it's his birthday. Pacquiao personally distributed the goods to the people he once served, when he was elected as their representative in Congress from 2010 to 2016. After his Congressional stint he then successfully ran for Senator.
Pacquiao is one of those with a rags to riches story. Before he became known as a great boxer and a politician he started his humble beginnings in the simple town of Saranggani, General Santos, where he experienced poverty and had to work hard to be able to sustain everyday needs for himself and his family.
Because of this experience, Pacquiao's heart has always been close to the needs of the poor. His desire to help the disenfranchised also motivated him into entering politics.
Pacquiao is now considered one of the country's modern heroes after numerous championship reigns in multiple weight divisions, bringing pride to his home country. Despite his fame and title, he never forgets to share his blessings.
