In October of this year, a mother from Newman Lake, Washington rescued her three children from a fire that engulfed their house.

32-year-old Angel Fiorini and her three children were sleeping when a fire broke out in her home.

The mother woke up coughing as the smoke began to fill the house.

Realizing the situation at hand, she immediately rushed to her children's room and picked up her toddlers: 18-month-old daughter, Rosalie and 3-year-old son, Vinny. Angel ran into the lawn and dropped her children there.

However the clueless toddlers tried to follow their mother as she went back into the burning structure, to rescue 7-year-old daughter, Gianna.

Angel was forced to shut the door behind her.

When Angel finally found her daughter, the house had already filled with smoke. The smoke obscured her path and she couldn't find her way out again. The mother put Gianna down on the floor and laid down on top of her - shielding her from the coming flames.

Thankfully a neighbor saw the roaring fire and called the local authorities. Angel and Gianna were found by the fire department – unconscious, but alive. Gianna had second-degree burns and had to be hospitalized for two weeks. Luckily, the two toddlers only had a few minor injuries.

However, Angel was in critical condition – half of her body was covered in second and third degree burns. Fortunately, after 5 weeks of hospital care, Angel was able to come home to her family.

This mother was willing to put herself in harm's way just so her daughter Gianna could survive. What a truly inspiring story!
