Apparently, “paasa” does not just apply to unrequited love but to unreturned items as well.
This girl was riding a jeepney going to Marikina when she lost her iPhone 5S. Hoping to contact whoever got it, she messaged the number.
To her surprise, she received a response via text and the person who got her phone seemed willing to return it. He introduced himself as Eric Borromeo, a student from ICCT, and agreed to return the phone next morning.
It was a smooth conversation until the next day when Eric didn’t show up to return her phone. The owner texted the number again but nobody replied.
The phone was never returned, but that’s not the end of the story.
The owner looked up the name of the person who got the phone on Facebook. She tracked the profile and discovered that Eric had already posted a picture of her iPhone with the caption: Best Gift Ever.
The owner uploaded their conversation which has gone viral with 8,799 shares and more than 9,300 likes.
