In some cultures, there are children as young as 12 years old who are forced to actually marry much older partners.

As he learned about the disturbing issue, Youtube star Coby Persis plotted a social experiment set in New York City to observe how the audience will react if he staged a wedding between an old man and a young girl.

It took place in Times Square. The 12-year-old bride came with a white dress and a veil, resembling typical brides. She just stared blankly at the ground while their wedding photos were taken.

Many bystanders gathered and soon formed a disapproving crowd.

Later on, a concerned bunch couldn't help it any longer so they jumped in and helped the child bride.

They soon learned that all of it was a stunt. The original campaign was done by a group called "KAFA" which exposes the reality being faced by children in Lebanon, Syria, and more states.
