A Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) franchise in Gallipolis, Ohio showed the perfect way to give back to the hard-working members of the police force by offering free meals to all uniformed cops everyday all day.
Recently, a photo of a sign posted by KFC Gallipolis on their front door went viral as it shows how the fast food chain values their dedicated police officers. The photo was featured on Ohio Going Blue's Facebook page and has since then caught the attention of many netizens, garnering 9,000 likes and more than 4,000 shares as reported by awm.com.
The signage says:
"ALL UNIFORMED POLICE OFFICERS EAT FREE EVERYDAY ALL DAY"
This act garnered different interpretations from the netizens. The administrator of Ohio Going Blue's Facebook page explained that police officers do not like 'special treatments'. For him, he will not enter an establishment to take advantage of something free. However, what KFC did is still an acknowledgement of the importance of law enforcement.
“To those who stated that other first responders should also be acknowledged. My answer? ABSOLUTELY.” the administrator added.
Employees from other KFC branches also shared their opinion about KFC Gallipolis' show of support for their police officers.
"Yes we feed police officers for free EVERYDAY!!! I work at the Russell KY KFC!! We honor our protectors!! Now we need to give free dinners or food to the veterans also!! I am going to bring it to their attention next time I see the owners," said the employee, according to awm.com.
