Sexy Actress Meg Imperial, known to be JM De Guzman's closest friend, said that she is glad De Guzman is back on showbiz.
PEP.ph got a chance to interview Meg at the presscon of the movie Swipe (Now Searching) on January 23 at Tektite Building, Pasig City.
Despite news of JM' s drug use rehabilitation news, Meg said that she stayed by her friend's side and remained his friend.
"I'm happy for him, always. Ako naman kasi, although everyone knows naman what happened to us, never akong nagkaroon ng sama ng loob sa kanya. I'm always there for him, to support him na naka-recover," Imperial said to PEP.ph
“I want to be that friend na all of those friends na nakapaligid sa kanya who were into this... siguro na-suffocate na siya. I want to be that kind of person who will support him,” she added.
The sexy actress also said that his communication with the actor is open although they don't see each other often.
PEP.ph asked Meg if she might be one of JM's reasons for pursuing his recovery. She said, “Sana, sana one of the reasons ako. Yun naman kasi ang goal ko, e. To inspire him to do better as a friend kasi, ang kaibigan naman talaga, tutulungan mo sila na makabangon sila sa nangyari sa kanila.”
Imperial was then placed on the hot seat and was asked if she is considering giving JM a second chance.
“Hindi ko masabi, tingnan natin.
“Ayoko namang sabihin na dahil nagbabalik siya, e, ia-allow ko na lang. Siyempre, meron pa rin tayong binabasehan na, 'Is he good for me or am I good for him as well?' Magki-click ba talaga kami? Or baka madala lang kami sa tukso sa amin ng tao,” Imperial said.
She also mentioned that she is not closing her doors for the actor. However, she said that JM did not show any hints of planning to mend their relationship.
"Wala pa naman. Wala pa kaming conversation na ganun. So far, I'm happy na nandun ako sa likod niya," Imperial said after being asked if De Guzman is showing some hints.
"And I'm happy na bumabalik siya dahil he's really one of the good actors we have. Super-gentleman din pati siya," she added.
