A chopped up body was found by authorities along a sidewalk in a subdivision at Barangay De Ocampo, Trece Martinez, Cavite. The victim was slaughtered and raped by a man who claims to be her ‘ex-boyfriend’.
According to GMA News, the man identified as Alvin Delos Angeles confessed that he was the one who murdered the victim.
“Dumilim paningin ko. Nagtalo po kami, nag-away po kami, nagkasakitan po kami… Makikipagbalikan po sana,” Delos Angeles said in an interview with reporter Dano Tingcungco.
The report said that Mitzy Balunsay and Delos Angeles were theater orgmates and they were a couple back then. Delos Angeles also mentioned that Balunsay ended their relationship which lasted for four months.
The suspect is asking for forgiveness from Mitzi’s parents, relatives and even his friends on their organization.
“Humihingi po ako ng dispensa sa magulang ni Mitzy, kamag-anak, sana mapatawad niyo ako. Lalo na sa mga kaibigan ko sa Teatro,” the suspect said.
On the other hand, the result of Mitzy Balunsay’s autopsy disclosed that “Mitzy was raped before she was choked to death.”
Mitzy’s body was found in a box along a sidewalk last Friday morning.
According to GMA News, Mitzy was still able to text her parents using a different number asking permission if she can sleepover at the house of her friend so that she can go to her enrollment the following day.
“Nung nakita ko yung anak ko, nasa morgue siya,” Jerry Balunsay - the Father of the victim said. The Balunsay Family now seeks justice for Mitzy Joy.
