GMA’s hit show ‘Encantadia’ has been receiving praises and well-deserved nods from both fans and critics alike, but viewers might have to brace themselves emotionally, as one of the ‘Sang’gres’ is about to be killed off.
PEP reported that someone leaked a photo online showing ‘Sang’gre Amihan’, played by Kylie Padilla, dying. The actress recently got engaged to actor Aljur Abrenica following reports that she’s three months pregnant with his child.
The photo showed her character, Amihan, being laid to rest as her sisters Pirena (Glaiza del Castro), Alena (Gabbi Garcia), and Danaya (Sanya Lopez) surrounded her. Amihan’s daughter Lira (Mikee Quintos) can also be seen in the photo.
In the original photograph, the scene has a green screen background — meaning it has just been shot and has no special effects added to it yet.
The show’s creators along with its production staff condemned the release of the leaked picture. Head writer Suzette Doctolero tweeted her sentiments and wrote:

She promised, however, that the ‘telefantaserye’ still contains plenty of twists. One fan of Kylie’s character questioned Suzette and the production staff’s decision in their handling of the situation.

Suzette answered the fan and claimed that it was not her fault and that she didn’t like what happened either. Fans of Kylie and Ruru Madrid (Ybrahim) have been clamoring for Kylie to stay on the show. According to them, she can use “doubles” in order to remain in the show.
The head writer just replied to the netizens by saying, “Maawa po tayo sa kanya, exhausted ang work.” She also released a cliffhanger for future events in the series.
“Trivia 101. Originally, walang Devas. No spiritual realm. Pera back in 2005, when we killed Pirena/Alena naghuramentado ang mga fans so….” she said in her post.
Last weekend, ‘Encantadia’ dropped teasers that a Sang’gre would be killed on the show. Amihan, Kylie’s character, has been declaring in recent episodes that she is willing to sacrifice her life for the sake of the kingdom.
The photo was leaked after Vidanes Celebrity Management announced on Instagram that Kylie, one of their talents, was already engaged to Aljur.
