'Tawag ng Tanghalan' contenders Sam Mangubat and Carl Malone Montecido will face each other in the grand finals.

Sam, a native of Luzon, and Carl, originally from Visayas, gave their all in their performances during the singing competition's semi-final round. 

Sam performed Carrie Underwood's 'Jesus Take The Wheel'. On the other hand, Carl sang Ted Ito's 'Maghintay Ka Lamang'. All of the judges were amazed by their outstanding performances.

Sam chose to give his own touch to the song which, according to him, best describes his life. He also shared that the song paved the way for him to make it to the final round.

Meanwhile, Carl did not fail to grab the attention of the judges as Ogie Alcasid even said that life becomes more beautiful every time he sings. 

Netizens could not contain their excitement as they cheered for their bets. They predicted that the final matchup will be a tough one as both are very talented. Many netizens claimed that both of them deserved to be the finalists.
