Being equipped with university-taught knowledge as taught by US professionals almost always ensures a secure future for many people. Unfortunately, not everyone can afford that kind of education. 

Thankfully, for many aspiring Filipino students, there is plenty of hope for achieving that dream.

In the United States, a website called Fastweb.com presents itself to be the leading online resource for finding scholarships that are tailor-made for the person looking. It allocates specific scholarships that are targeted for particular people. 

They have categories for honor roll students and students whose served in the military. Some categories are sorted by race, unique situations, and ethnic groups such as Filipinos. 

A special category for Filipinos can be found and it contains 19 scholarships waiting for any Filipino student to help achieve their dreams. Some of the largest scholarships for Filipino students are the Banatao Family Filipino American Education Fund that amounts to $5,000 and has a deadline set on February 24, 2017. 

Another scholarship program available for Filipinos is the Philippine International Aid US Scholarship that amounts up to $2,000 and also has the deadline set for February 24, 2017. 

Last but not the least is the Maria Elena Yuchengco Memorial Journalism Scholarship which can amount up to $3,000 and also has the deadline set on February 24, 2017.

However, one must keep in mind that many of these scholarships are for students already attending specific universities in the Philippines.
