It’s terrible when we see or witness children begging in the streets or running around with no clothes on, especially in our country where poverty is still prevalent.
However, it turns out that even countries such as Singapore, some children suffer more or less the same fate. In a report released by Pinoy Rap Radio, a childcare center in Singapore has been alleged to feed children with rotten food.

The pictures were seen in WeChat and posted by an anonymous user. It is speculated that the teachers dispose of the milk powder that parents would leave to the staff for their children to eat.
That’s not all—in the pictures, it could be seen that the children were left in poor living conditions. They were seen sleeping and lying on the floor with no mattresses or mats beneath them.
Another picture showed a toddler lying in a crib with no clothes below his waist. His butt was covered in what presumably was feces. According to the one who took the photo, the toddler even touched his bottom and placed his finger onto his mouth. There was no staff available to clean or guide him.

A Singapore news website, Stomp, caught the happenings. In response to the scandal brought by the pictures, the spokesperson for an Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) said the following:
“The ECDA is aware of the post on social media and is currently investigating it. The safety and well-being of children in child care centers are of utmost important to ECDA.”
“Under the Child Care Centers Act, all child care centers are required to meet the stipulated regulatory requirements to protect the safety, well-being, and welfare of children in centers.”
However, it is yet to be known whether specific actions were done in response to the particular childcare center.
