However, it seems like a father from China took swimming lessons to a different and disturbing level. A video of a father tossing his toddler to the lake to teach him how to swim went viral as it sparked concern from many netizens.
The video showed a father dragging his crying toddler towards the lake. The little boy was visibly panicking as he refused to approach the water. His screams indicated fear and his kicks implied that he wanted to get out of his father's grasp.
And then this happened.
The unidentified father suddenly threw his screaming toddler into the water and watched him struggle for his breath. He tried to keep his head above the water to gasp for air while his father nonchalantly watched him.
Even more disturbingly, onlookers seemingly did not care or worry at all even though the toddler was struggling to reach the shore. They even swam away from him and refused to give him any help.
Fortunately, the toddler reached land all by himself. It seemed like he really learned from his father's disturbing, but nonetheless effective, swimming lesson.
Although the kid was able to save himself, many netizens condemned the father's method. Many of them expressed concern over the kid's safety as he could have drowned.
Moreover, many netizens suggested that there are numerous ways to teach a kid how to swim without putting them in danger.
