Many adventure junkies find thrill in the wild. For some people, being face to face with some of the world's most terrifying creatures seems like their idea of fun.

In a viral video on Youtube, these unidentified men from Brazil enthusiastically poke fun at a giant anaconda resting by a river.

Using a wooden oar, the man at the end of the boat poked the anaconda to wake it up. And just as the men expected, the distressed yellow anaconda hastily attempted to escape.

As seen on the video, the anaconda's midsection was swollen, indicating its recent meal was still amidst digestion. Snakes who have just recently fed have trouble moving around due to the energy being used up for digestion.

The clear indication that the anaconda was seemingly unable to defend itself from whatever these men were up to emboldened them. While one man took the video, the other grabbed the massive snake by its tail to haul it to the middle of the river with his bare hands so it could drown.

The snake desperately tried to swim away but these men had no mercy and even did it twice. Fortunately, according to the video narration, the snake was freed after the second pull and survived the stressful ordeal the men subjected it to.

However, the Brazilian Environmental Authorities did not allow them to get away with their act of animal cruelty. The men were fined 600 dollars and had to perform community service for violating wildlife protection laws.
