Exclusive - Sen. Pacquiao on Gay Men Entering the Women's CR: 'Hindi siya puwede pumasok sa restroom ng mga babae!'

Senator Manny Pacquiao has once again made noise online after suggesting to make a bill prohibiting gay men from using the women's comfort room.

This is in reference to the bill proposed by fellow Senator, Risa Hontiveros, to fight against discrimination on the LGBT ( lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) community.

According to Abanta Tonie, Sen. Pacquiao insisted that this bill could potentially be used by perverts who would crossdress just to gain access to the women's comfort room.

Pacquiao's understanding of the plight of the LGBT community is deeply clouded by his conservative religious beliefs.

Sen. Hontiveros considered Pacquiao's suggestion and promised to look into it.

Netizens' reaction were divided regarding Sen. Pacquiao's suggestion. There are some who think that the boxing champion has a point while others still clearly remember his homophobic statement that went viral last year.

Jennifer Laude's tragic case in 2014 was dragged into the discussion after Pacquiao brought up that the case against Joseph Scott Pemberton was reduced from murder to homicide. What it had to do with gay men using the bathroom, only Sen. Pacquiao can say.

Pemberton took Laude's life after she lied to him about being a transgender. Senator De Lima argued that Pemberton's sentence was reduced because he didn't exactly plan on killing Laude as the killing was done in the heat of the moment.
