Often times, we perceive rape as an issue involving society's many outcasts- drug addicts, convicts, delinquents, uneducated people. People imagine rape to happen in dark alleys with strangers during the wee hours.
However, we fail to realize that in many circumstances, rape can happen with people we know.
Such is the case of "Shantal", who never thought her ex-boyfriend "Tristan" could actually take advantage of her.
One time while drinking with her friend out at night, Tristan and his friends connived to get through Shantal.
It was at this moment when the woman was helplessly and unknowingly violated by her ex-boyfriend and his friends.
Despite attempting to hide her tragic experience, Shantal was not able to contain it and she broke down in front of her own mother, revealing the unfortunate incident.
The man along with his friends who were in on the crime were later arrested. The woman and her family plead for justice.
