Exclusive - 'Nakakaloka!' Soul Singer Jaya Celebrates a Joyful Birthday! Pop Singer and BFF Regine Velasquez Gives Her a Wonderful Present!

Long-lasting relationships are a rare thing in the celebrity world. Some personalities get paired together as loveteams because of their charisma together. Sometimes, on-screen love turns into real-life romance.

Other celebrities become friends for a long time before splitting apart due to a host of reasons. Sometimes it’s personal differences - egos clash in this competitive industry. Sometimes, friends simply leave to work for a rival network.

Luckily for soul-singer Jaya and her ‘kumare’, pop-ballad singer Regine Velasquez, they found a long-lasting friendship that’s been around for two decades. 

The iconic singers first met in 1996, but became best friends in 2000 when Jaya joined GMA’s musical variety show 'Sobrang Okey, Pare!' 

On Tuesday, March 21, Jaya turned 46 years old and Asia’s Songbird had a very lovely gift for her BFF.

Regine bought the 'Tawag ng Tanghalan' judge a pair of Gucci wedges - the “hibiscus red embroidered suede platform espadrille.”

According to the Gucci website, the shoes have a whopping price tag of $695 U.S. dollars or PHP 34,831!

Jaya couldn’t believe how much Regine spent on her birthday present.

She shared a picture of her new expensive footwear on Instagram with the caption:

“Susmaryoseeeep Mare naman nakakaloka ang gift mo so appreciate your love and friendship Mare salamat!!!! God bless you always”

We can’t blame Jaya – those shoes look gorgeous!

It just goes to show that there is no price tag on true friendship. #Friendshipgoals indeed.
