Exclusive - A Chinese Boy Jumps From the Fifth Floor With an Umbrella... and Lives!

Kids… do NOT try this at home!

…or outside.

…or anywhere else for that matter!

After watching a cartoon character use an umbrella to slow his descent, this 7-year-old boy from China tried to defy gravity by doing the same thing. The boy lived on the 5th floor of an apartment in Suzhou, Jiangsu

It’s already amazing that the kid jumped from the 5th floor but what’s even more amazing is the fact that the kid survived!

Unsurprisingly, it wasn't the umbrella that saved the boy. Instead, his death was prevented when he hit the power lines.

He did incur serious injuries but his doctor said that the little boy will be alright.

Apparently, this is becoming a trend in the region as a similar case was reported in Xinjiang just last month.

A 5-year-old girl attempted the same stunt with an umbrella, this time from the 11th floor. Her injuries from the jump landed her in the intensive care unit (ICU).

It’s not just umbrella flying though…

From climbing down pipe drains to sewing faces (yup), copying the antics of cartoon characters has become an alarming trend in China.

Pinoy netizens are voicing out their opinions on the matter.

"Calling the attention of MTRCB, it is high time na i-review at kung kailangang i-cut yung mga ganitong scene sa mga cartoons na pinanunuod ng mga bata sa Pilipinas."
- Linuel Mabasa

"Is the boy's name Mario Poppins?"
- Ben-Hur Vilori

"kaya PG po ang mga cartoons kasi kailngan ng patnubay ng magulang"
