Exclusive - First Ever Filipina KPOP Star Kriesha Tiu To Debut In May According To An Entertainment Company

Filipinos have been in love with the Korean culture for quite some time now. Ever since Korea-novelas arrived on local channels such as GMA and ABS-CBN, Pinoys were instantly hooked and started being avid followers of Korean stars up to now.  

Aside from Koreanovelas, Filipino viewers are also up to date when it comes to Korean singers. Even though most of us really don’t understand the language, fans still manage to sing their favorite Korean songs as if they spoke it as their native tongue. 

Due to their lively music and culture, it’s no wonder why Koreans are such a big hit worldwide.  

There’s even a Korean singing competition which many aspiring celebrities join hoping to one day be discovered. 

A teenager, who goes by the name Kriesha Tiu, also spelled as Crisha Choo, joined the singing competition ‘KPOP Star’ in Korea.  

She immediately caught the attention of judges as she introduced herself not by speaking but by singing and dancing. 

The aspiring performer is so fluent in their language that judges thought she was Korean. Kriesha later revealed that she was from San Francisco but later moved to Korea since she wanted to join the show. 

Another huge revelation of Kriesha is gthat she originally came from the Philippines and has a Pinay mom.  

Because of her sweet face and love for music, the 17-year-old Fil-Am teen’s wish to be a celebrity will soon come true.  

According to a source, Kriesha will debut soon, most likely May this year.  

Despite finishing in second place on KPOP Star, talent scouts and agencies noticed her talent and immediately made their offers to her. 

Urban Works Entertainment, her current entertainment agency said: “We have been working on this since before her appearance on K-Pop Star 6. Since she appeared on the show, we delayed her debut. We are working hard so she can debut without any flaws.”
