Tourists are considered as assests for a certain country in that they help improve a nation’s tourism. That is why tourists should be treated with utmost respect so that someday, they might come back to visit again. However, some tourists abuse their status as visitors and tend to disrespect the locals with their arrogant behavior.
Narong Thaopanya, a 21-yea-old Thai citizen complained against the actions of a foreginer who was riding on the coach with her. They were on their way to Sukhothai province in northern Thailand coming from Bangkok last March 30. According to Narong, he as suddenly overcome by a putrid smell. When he turned to look, he saw the female French backpacker’s feet on the headrest. When he requested her to move her feet from the headrest, the female French tourist arrogantly refused.
Narong said the female tourist refused to listen and then just stared at him while putting up her feet on the headrest once more. He even recorded the whole incident to prove how rude the tourist was.

Narong complained by saying “'This woman's face was beautiful but she had no manners.
'The smell from her feet was filling the whole bus. It was hot and made me feel sick, because her feet were next to my head.”
