Before being married to Nico Bolzico on May 21st of last year, Kapuso actress Solenn Heussaff lived with her family in a lovely Makati home.
The family have been living in the gorgeous house for almost 31 years (about as old as Solenn is) but were only able to buy the house and lot in 2009.
According to the actress, "The owner was Chinese."
"He told my dad, 'You're the one who's going to buy my house.' And my dad said, 'I don't have the money,' like that."
Apparently the former owner of the property strongly believed in Feng Shui and told Solenn’s father, Louis Paul, "You're the right family to give it to."
Her dad didn’t have much money at the time but decided to take the owner up on his offer.
A few decades down the line and the land’s value increased a hundred fold.
"I said, 'Dad, you should've bought the whole street!" Solenn joked.
In an interview with YES! Magazine, Cynthia Adea, the actress’ mother said: "The house originally looked like a trailer. It's really long, rectangular."
"When we got it, I had to enlarge it a little bit."
Solenn described her old home as "a mix and match of everything."
Mommy Cynthia agreed with her daughter and added that their home was "very Asian, Asian na hindi naman bright, subdued naman siya."
Ms. Cynthia, who styles herself as an interior designer, handpicked the furnishings inside their home.
The Asian influence shows as the Heussaff home has around 27 Buddha and Buddhist monk statues decorating the interiors. They are a personal collection of Solenn’s father – who took years to collect.
Mommy Cynthia recounted, "Every time it's his birthday or Christmas, 'Give me Buddha.'"
Erwan Heussaff has claimed that the home's dining area and kitchen as his spot. After all, the youngest in the family happens to be crazy about food as he is a professional chef.
The Heussaff family usually unwind inside the den.
