Being the breadwinner of the family is a difficult challenge for any working adult. It takes a lot of hard work to save up money, not only for your living expenses but also for your own dreams.
Even celebrities with their glamorous lives have put in the work to provide for their family.
Kapamilya star Julia Montes had a goal in mind while working at the tender young age of 6 – to buy her own home.
According to the report by PEP.ph, the ‘Doble Kara’ star became the proud owner of a property, which had three bedrooms, a walk-in closet and a gym back in 2015.
The house happened to be located in the same village where her rumored boyfriend, fellow Kapamilya actor Coco Martin lived.
But this wonderful home wasn’t the first house Julia ever owned. In fact she had been investing much of her hard earned money in a 200 square meter house located in Cainta, Antipolo City in 2012. She was only 16 years old when she acquired this house.
In previous interviews, Julia admits that despite preferring to live in Quezon City, she has difficulty letting her old house in Antipolo go.
"Gusto kong ipa-rent, ayaw kong ibenta kasi first investment ko," Julia said.
In an interview with YES! Magazine, she gave a tour of her Antipolo home the within the same year she bought it.
Julia’s grandmother said the house was fully furnished when they bought it.
"Lahat ng furniture sa baba, hindi kami ang bumili."
As we can see in these photos by YES! Magazine, the house really does seem like a cozy little hide away any family would love to come home to.
Julia said that one of her favorite aspects of her home was the red wall she had in one of her rooms.
"Dream ko lang magkaroon ng red wall," she admitted.
"Naa-attract ako sa red, kasi usong-uso sa akin 'yong nagbabasa ako ng mga book, and then nabasa ko 'yong meaning.
"Iyong red, parang nagsi-symbolize ng parang strong ka."
