DOTC secretary Art Tugade has denied Rappler's report of him having an unofficial trip to Beijing last June.
Nic Gabunada revealed in a Facebook post that Tugade texted him about the report, saying what Amb. Goldberg said, "the fabled American 'intelligence network' has miserably failed again."
"Tsimis yan!!I was never in Beijing in June!! Want proof? You can always examine my passport anytime," Tugade texted.
In the article posted by Rappler last October 25, outgoing ambassador Philip Goldberg said Tugade had made an unofficial visit to Beijing in June.
In addition, he said Cayetano is with them.
"I actually wasn't all that surprised," he said.
