Despite the accusations of extrajudicial killings due to the increased number of deaths toll linked to drugs, the government stayed firm on its stance against illegal drugs. Although the war on drugs had been garnering oppositions, not just locally, but also internationally, Duterte supporters remain solid.
Recently, a video documentary went viral, highlighting the decrease in crimes in the streets. It was a 7-minute video which features different testimonies from ordinary citizens and public officials. They claim that change is felt in the streets as crimes like holdups, kidnapping, riding-in-tandem related crimes, are now significantly less unlike before.
The video has now garnered 24k shares and over 600k views in the span of 1 day.
